Tom Roberts |
 Thomas M. (Tom) Roberts was born February 8, 1935 in Gladewater, TX and was baptized
into Christ at Kilgore when he was about ten years old. He married Pauline Kelley on June 15, 1953 and they were
blessed with three children: Curtis, Tommy, Jr. (died 1981), and Paula. Tom attended Florida Christian College
1954-55.Full-time
preaching began in 1956 at Sour Lake, TX. The next year Tom went to New Bern, NC for a short stay and on to Newport.
In 1961 he moved to Whitesboro, TX. While there he helped bring a liberal church at Sherman out of error and began
work with that church in 1963. In 1968 he moved to Crockett, TX, in 1970 to Newport, NC (while there helped start
a church at Moorehead City), in 1972 to the Westside church in Ft. Worth, TX, in 1982 to the Woodmont church in
Ft. Worth (served as an elder for many years), and in 2000 to the Judson Rd. church in Longview. Tom is
a staff writer for Truth Magazine. |
